Innovate Initiative School/Student Enlightenment Program (ISEP), an educational outreach of The Mishael Onwe Foundation. ISEP is committed to empowering students through career guidance and mentorship, equal access to education, and hands-on digital and vocational skill training. Our initiative fosters creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration among students, while also building strong partnerships with educators and parents to support holistic learning.

About ISEP

ISEP is committed to building a better future through education. We are passionate about helping students grow and achieve their full potential. Every aspect of students’ growth and development is important to us. We help them fulfill their career dreams and make a difference in the world. So far, we’ve been to over 7 schools in Nigeria and empowered more than 500 students in the year 2024.

Our Goals and Objectives

1. Career Enlightenment and Guidance
We are dedicated to helping students discover and pursue meaningful career paths that align with their talents, passions, and long-term goals. Through structured mentorship programs, career talks, counseling sessions, and exposure to various industries, we guide students to make informed decisions. We also connect them with professionals and role models who provide real-world insights, helping students build clarity and confidence in their career journey.

2. Helping Students Find and Maximize Educational Opportunities
We strive to eliminate barriers to education by providing students with access to life-changing opportunities. This includes guiding them through scholarship applications, linking them with academic and leadership development programs, and supporting them in applying for local and international exchange programs. Our resource network helps students tap into platforms that broaden their academic experience and open doors to global possibilities.

3. Advocating for Gender Equality and Education
ISEP champions inclusivity and equal access to education, regardless of gender. We promote awareness on gender-sensitive issues in education and work to dismantle stereotypes that hinder academic and personal growth. By empowering girls and boys equally through tailored programs, safe spaces, and inclusive learning environments, we ensure that all students have a fair opportunity to excel and lead.

4. Student Orientation and Enlightenment on Educational Growth and Development
We help students understand the full scope of their academic journey—from primary to tertiary levels. Through seminars, school visits, workshops, and resource materials, we educate students on study habits, academic planning, goal setting, examination preparation, and transitioning into higher institutions. Our aim is to ensure students are not just participants in the system but are informed and active contributors to their academic success.

5. Inspiring Learners to Be Innovators, Creative Thinkers, and Solution Providers
We nurture a generation of thinkers who do more than just learn—they innovate. By encouraging creativity, entrepreneurship, and hands-on problem-solving, we help students become proactive changemakers. Through hackathons, innovation challenges, leadership camps, and mentorship, we inspire them to identify problems in their communities and take initiative in solving them using modern tools, technology, and critical thinking.

6. Partnership with Schools, Teachers, and Parents to Enhance the Teaching and Learning Process
We believe that the student’s success is a collective responsibility. By building strong relationships with schools, educators, and parents, we create a holistic support system. Our collaborative initiatives include teacher training, parent forums, school development projects, and the co-creation of learning strategies tailored to students’ diverse needs. This ensures that students are surrounded by consistent, high-quality educational support at every level.

7. Skill Acquisition Training and Empowerment
Beyond academics, we equip students with real-world skills necessary for independence and success. Our programs focus on digital literacy, entrepreneurship, vocational training, financial literacy, communication, leadership, and emotional intelligence.
